500hp street Starlet is back

The last time we saw Rick’s Toyota Starlet he was on the dyno testing out a newly fitted gearbox which consisted of a straight cut gearset and trick sequential shifter. Since then Rick has gone over the whole car with a new cooling system and a switch to E85 fuel. An updated Wolf V550 computer and a Garrett GTW3684 recently netted 501hp to the front wheels on around 40psi boost.

Although the car has run into the low 10s previously, Rick is after more consistency and was back at the track testing the new changes with the long term aim to run consistent sub 10-second passes.
