K20A powered Mazda RX-7 ~ RHONDA

In Circuit, Video by fullboost

The Mazda FD RX-7 is one without doubt one of the most popular Japanese sports cars ever made, so when we laid eyes on this example at Phillip Island recently it certainly took us by surprise.

Under the bonnet now sees a Honda K20 4-cylinder engine boosted by a Garrett turbocharger that makes around 325kw to the back wheels thanks to BYP Racing and Developments. The engine conversion sees the front end some 40 kilograms lighter with power driven through an S2000 gearbox and Mazda rear end.
