Australia’s fastest h-pattern VL turbo

In Drag, Video by fullboost

Persisting with a factory Skyline 5-speed manual gearbox for a number of years, Nigel’s stick shift Holden Commodore VL has run as quick as 9.12 and trapped 167mph over the quarter mile. A recent upgrade in the way of a PPG gearset, Nigel was hoping to dip into the 8-second zone. Power comes from a D’Annello Performance Nissan twin cam RB 3L engine, boosted by a Garrett turbo, Wolf engine management and e85 fuel.
