Now one of the quickest six cylinder powered vehicles in Australia on 275 radials, Matt Sims’ Holden Commodore still sees the factory fitted Nissan RB30 in place albeit with forged internals. Matt has updated to a larger Precision 8285 turbocharger that sees up to 50psi boost fed into the single cam engine, governed via a Haltech ECU. This is all backed by a TCE Torque converter and Pro9 rear end while Matt is also responsible for not only building the VL but tuning it as well, and at the recent Grudge Kings event at Sydney Dragway the Holden carded a personal best time.
