Now over 30 years old, the Holden VL Commodore is still as popular as ever on the Aussie performance car scene. Combine a lightweight chassis with a factory fitted turbocharged Nissan RB30 six and it’s easy to see why. Running 8-second passes in a street registered car has become the norm in Melbourne and George’s VL is a perfect example of this, having only completed a total of a dozen passes but already super consistent. The ex Police force or BT-1 spec model is now powered by a complete 1000hp capable engine package from JW Automotive. Bolt-ons include a Precision turbo and Plazmaman intake with power laid down through 255 street radial tyres.
