Quentin’s turbocharged Holden Torana street car just keeps going quicker and quicker. Aiming for a seven second pass, we saw Quentin at Round 1 of the APSA Pro Street championship in Melbourne. The car was entered in the Outlaw Radial class which mostly consists of dedicated race cars.
Considering you’re looking at a 1300 plus hp GM LS based V8, it’s a simple setup still retaining standard intake and exhaust manifolds. Twin Garrett GT3582R turbos run around 22psi on E85 fuel, controlled by a Motec M150. Quentin has done most of the work himself and it’s amazing that a car this fast racks up plenty of kilometers on the street.
Unfortunately the Tru Trac 9 inch diff decided it was ending the day early. We know it won’t take long for Quentin to be back to run that seven.
