A perfect night for racing greeted drivers at the Calder Park Off-street drags.

From MPW, Luke’s 8-second street Holden was back. The VH Commodore runs a built LQ9 block with LS3 heads and twin 62mm Turbonetics turbos at 16psi whilst putting it down through a powerglide transmission.

As always, Falcon turbo sixes were out in force. Currently the quickest Ford Territory in the land, the Independent Motorsports turbo awd 6 has previously trapped a 10.18-second pass and this time out Stathi wasn’t too far off that.

Jimmy was back in his EVO Lancer, chasing that elusive 10-second pass.

Brendan’s Pro layers body works Holden HQ Coupe is powered by a 411 cube LQ9. A Garrett GTX45 was set to 16psi and Brendan intends to turn it up quite a bit once the car is working at the track.

Jack’s CK Automotive built and turned VL commodore has retained the factory single cam RB30 with a forged bottom end, CNC head and a Garret T04Z at 30psi. Power is around 450kws and put down through a glide and radial tyres.

Harrop had their blown VF SSV out and were running in the low 11s.

Nick’s Lamborghini Jalpa is a very unique build. After spending many years supercharged, the LS1 is now sporting twin turbo’s which are not hard to miss. These were the first runs with the setup which we can see has plenty more left in it.

Having a long history of backing up their dyno results at the track, Daniel’s APS built VE ute features a serious powerhouse under the bonnet. The LS3 has been stroked to 416 cubes and runs a whipple enforcer 2900 supercharger at 13pounds driving through a turbo 400 trans by Hasty Autos.

Boosted by a Garrett GTX42, Nick’s ute features a cam only L98 6L. Power drives through a turbo 400 by Preston Autos and a stock IRS rear end. Tuned by Giuliano Automotive, the ute ran low 11s on 8psi boost and well into the tens on 12psi.
