Single turbo upgrades on LS powered Commodores are very common these days. A great example of this is Sam’s 2003 Holden VY.

The 5.7L LS1 retains a stock bottom up end while up top a pair of Higgins CNC ported cylinder heads lie in place. Boost comes from a Garrett T51R making 412kW on 12psi boost tuned by Allsparks Performance on E85 pump fuel.
