408ci Cleveland V8 Dandy Engines

Johnny's naturally aspirated 408ci Ford Cleveland small block V8 street engine punches out over 700hp on premium unleaded on the Dandy Engines Superflow dyno. The engine will be going into a Falcon street car.

Welcome back to the track Karman. After a 4 year absense the XR6 turbo awoke first pass off the trailer. The Falcon is still a full weight car with electric glass and factory interior. Quickest pass for the day was an easy 9.0 at 151mph.

Anthony Visintin's Ford Falcon XE runs 9.77 at 140mph. The XE is a full weight street car weighing 3350lbs (1515kg), powered by an n/a 406ci Cleveland on VP109 fuel. 740hp is put to the ground with 28x9 M&H slicks and a stock rear end.

Mazda RX-7 LS2 V8 power - STZ Automotive WTAC

STZ Automotive's Mazda FD RX-7 got plenty of attention from spectators thanks to a great LS2 V8 engine conversion. The guys were back this year competing in the open class at World Time Attack Challenge and ran a best time of 1:39.93 at Sydney's Eastern Creek.

Panspeed Racing of Japan easily had the loudest car at World Time Attack Challenge with Naoki Hattori behind the wheel. The naturally aspirated 20B peripheral ported rotary powered yet subtle looking Mazda RX8 was competing in the Pro Class and ran a best time of 1:35.57 for the event.

EVO loses it at WTAC 2012

UK entrant Gareth Lloyd driving the Redbrick Racing Evolution 9 may have needed new underwear after this excursion off the track at turn one of Eastern Creek, the fastest corner on the track. The UK Cyber EVO is powered by a 2.2L 4G63 engine and aided by Garrett GT42 turbo running on Dymag 18x10in carbon wheels.
