STM made DOCILE, which was the main contender going for 7's. APC beat them to that and docile is pretty much retired now as its too dangerous to drive skating around at 170-180mph or something.

Docile was using a T51R SPL & exploded one once hitting just over 1150hp, the cooler took the damage.

STM also use the T51 on the subaru so I guess its their most preferred turbo.

By the way dociles gearbox is for sale for $8500 NZD, only seen dyno time mmmmm

DOCILE:

I've been following buschur in the US and noticed that they have given up on using he GT42R due to the lag during gear shifts dropping substantially and making it an unreliable car.

They realise that a 750-850hp car with a light billet rather than cast compressor wheel such as the new HTA series can make a car drivable daily and still get the same times as a 1000hp setup. HTA86 is the winner for 9's/150mph anyway.

Even the strong evo blocks require to be filled for 1000hp and use aluminium rods.

LOL the funny thing is Buschur say that, yet the black STM EVO pictured above runs a GT45R and if you watch the videos the launch and shifts seem to have no lag issues at all. It is laggy, but stays on steam once its going.

Speaking of which, NZ Four and Rotary Nats this weekend - Project DS9 will be racing. The also quite well known Heat Treatments GTR will be racing with its new setup, should be some good times....
