hi just wondering if any one can give me any ideas on the easiest motor to fit into a 84 hilux sigle cab tray back? I really want to have boost was thinking bout the 1j but not to sure how hard thats is to fit.
thanks for the help any way guys and girls :)
i would go with the 1jz cheap as for halfcuts, easy to get parts for just have to make up some mounts, wiring, etc ive seen a couple done now and they look pretty tight but it will be worth it in the end. you would be crazy to put any other engine in it with boost unless you have lots of cash flow too change pistons, rods etc were as the jz's you dont need to and the
1jz will be good on fuel and reliable
just my 2cents.

Easiest would be the IGGTE, 2.0L Twin Turbo Straight 6 from the older model Soarers...
Not too sure what engine your hilux has but have heard the IGGTE is a straight bolt-in in place of the 22R engine...
