2jz in a vr commo(gearbox troubles)

hi there ive put a 2jz in my vr commodore wagon seems to be going good but my gear box is playing up.ive got a b&m shifter in it and the gears seem to be all out of place eg. 1st on shifter is 1st and 2nd and drops back to 1st when you back off alittle,2nd on shifter is drive(3) and drive on shifter does nothing until i push overdrive button(which then go's into overdrive.but if the overdrive button is on,1st on the shifter will take off in 1st then 2nd but will stay in 2nd.very weird.

overdrive is electronic which some people find funny.i dont no why?it came out of an aristo.

ive had the gearbox rebuilt and shift kitted,still running factory computer.

can anyone help me out in any way?

could it be the b&m shifter?(which i dont think is because it picks the right gears when i wont it too but depends on overdrive button)picks p,r,n,d fine

could it be the overdrive button not wired up right?

and still running the factory 3.08 gears which will be changed in about to weeks. (any idea on gears please feel free to help:D )

you will need to wire up the solinoids in the gear box to select 1 /2 /3rd not just the overdrive if you dont have the factory computer
i cant find the pdf i have that tells you how to get it all working properly
do a google the info is out there

cool thanks ill have too look into it more.;)

just change diff gears to 4.11 and a spool.it revs alot better then the factory v8 commodore gears.

Solenoids have to be hooked up properly as well as mentioned earlier.

Also register on www.toymods.net for info on the hookup for the box.

If you are in NSW there is a bloke who specialises in that sort of gear. His tag in the forum is Mos.
