As we know sandown hosts the easter nats . y dont they move the easter nat 2 calder? it is beter then sandown cuz it has a 1/4 mile, burnout pan and most of all most it has big turns 2 drift around. also no matter were you sit at clader you can see the hole trak the 1/4 mile , burnout pan ect. at sandown you cant see all the track it does not have a burnout pan and and some not good turns to drift on. and i think they would get a bigger crowd at clader.

so what u think?

dont hold your breath for anything good to come from Calder as they wont run it unless there is a large profit involved. As a drag racer for the last 20 something years l have heard all sorts of crap from them with "sorry we had to postpond cause of lack of entries".Maybe if they spent some money on the place and didnt try to rip off the people providing the show (us the car owners) then they would have the entries

Powercruise is not on at Calder, the excuse was insurance couldnt be organized. Now the promoter has run many events in Queensland and N.S.W, so my thinking would be that it's not the promoter's problem with insurance, it's Calder Park's.
Also it has just been advertised that the race entry for a Friday night street meet has been dropped to $40, after everyone being told for years it was high 'because of insurance'. So does that mean now that there is no insurance for friday nights anymore? Or is it that because the AHRC, which is the body that runs the street meets, is in voluntary administration at the moment, and now they are just trying to get money coming in the gate?
Cant wait to hear the next lot of lies and excuses from such a poorly run facility.....

Yeh, I read they dropped it to $40, matching heathcote(a far better managed raceway). But other sections of the website still say $60. Most drag racers have moved their testing to Heathcote because its far better.

Yeh, I read they dropped it to $40,
Bob dropped it to $40 so he can claim an alimony reduction due to loss of earnings for his upcoming divorce. The karma truck is limping his way.

We know CPR's not a registered charity but as a business its run worse. Looking back at the management of the place from the sixty's the only business it was successful at was alienating spectators, racers, outside promoters, and by the high rate of officials and managers, its own employees. Apart from the next generation of racers going through the complex, drag racing in vic looks bleak. Hope we dont wait 20 yrs like Sydney for a stand alone strip.

There is no powercruise at Calder!!!!!!!!
I think that Bob Jane forgets what has happened in the past, going back through some of my magazines it seems the same thing happens every 12 years or so.... He cracks it at drag racing, so takes his bat and ball and goes home so nobody plays anymore..... then when drag racing has a boom he's all for it to line his pockets again....
You would think that going by the track record of the current management in place, he would of learnt that they didn't know what was going on,with all the incomplete meetings and stuff, but they've been re-hired again, and people wonder why it's turning to shit.....
