John, Any idea on the times and mph for the red TTV8 VL? Was running 145mph at the holden nationals with a small convertor. Wondering if it went any quicker?
yeah that red v8 is a beast i dont mind the set up either i was told it was slapped together

I think it went 10.2 or 10.4 some where around that.

you are right
I like the water marks, but instead of having lukes name put the time and mph.

After watching the vid and looking at the entire timeslip, the mph still seems high, has anyone seen this car run at a track that doesnt have bodge MPH sensors? (calder)

It has a small convertor. The thing is so slow to half track then you can see it start hammering. It leaves the line on no boost either. Normally its a manual track car... just had an auto slapped into it.
Why do you say they have bodge mph sensors?

Bodge Sensors????? We've been 8.28 @ 165 at Heathcote, 8.24 @ 165 at Dragway Tasmania and 8.31 @ 164.7 at Calder.
When we had the conservative setup in the bike, we went 8.49 @ 158 at Heathcote, then 8.42 @ 158 at Sydney with 2nd gear selection issues.
When we had the baby setup in it, we went 8.63 @ 156 at Heathcote, then 8.65 @ 154 at Sydney.
I don't think there is anything wrong with the timers....
That, and on boxing day, we ran in both lanes at Heathcote, ran between 10.29 and 10.40 at 128-129 MPH.
You'll find that you may run 1-1.5 mph faster and about 4 hundredths quicker in the right lane at Heathcote, because the transition at 60 foot isn't as savage as the left, therefore not unloading the car/bike on the fall.
I'm not talking 1-2 mph, im talking 5-10mph. My old car was running consistantly 117-119 at heathcote, then a couple of passes later saw it run through at 126, car never went over 119 at calder. I'm pretty sure it's the left lane, i know i am not the only one who has had high mph readings from it. Surely other people on here have had troubles with it??? i can think of 4 people i know that have commented on it. The G&D turbo VE i saw run 138 at heathcote with an interior then was out the next weekend at calder minus interior and going 132  , can't say if they changed anything power wise though.

It appears to have mild antilag or a 2 stage limiter looking at the video. it 60 foot's harder than my car, beats me to half track in time, but shows 2mph less at half track (mine has only been run at calder), so the mph isnt there at half track, but its not cos a bad launch because it's half track time is 4 tenths faster than mine, then ends up 7mph in front at the finish. Not having a go at the car, its awesome, just wanna know more about it. Perhaps there is an area of the track he's having traction issues with, but it must be after 60ft and not bad enough to harm the 1/2 track time.

the right lane at heathcote is a little "optimistic" in the mph.
My car picked up 4mph on the same day, within an hour, between the left, and right lane.
As far as i can tell, the et is accurate in both, judging by my own timeslips.
I havent raced there in a while, maybe the issue has been resolved.
Ive always tried to stick to the left lane if trying to tune, or break a pb, but racing i give no fark what lane, cause im not that good:D

The right hand lane is 3 mph. If you get a convertor done from TCE they ask you if your mph that you give them was at heathcote in the right lane. If you say yes -3 mph. The et is spot on. The only thing is in the right hand lane is it dose give you a massive reading every now and then. Last time I was there I went 149mph 148mph 167mph 150mph 172mph
the car has consistantly been between 140-148 mph in both lanes but yes right hand lane is faster. the car now runs a 5000 stally and my 2spd powerglide car is normally a circuit car that races at winton car has a 2stage rev limiter.

For some reason today I was checking out my 660ft times on the print outs and I found a mistake. It says most of my passes were 91-93mph but one of them said 177mph! Man, I wish!

Most of your time cards from the right hand lane have a mistake

I didnt race in the right lane all day.
Thanks anthol, Do you know how much he picked up using the 2 stage limiter? Mine is a street car driven all the time and i want to keep it that way, mild antilag or a 2 stage limiter were 2 ideas i had to try to get a turbo'd car out of the hole without a brake.
not sure mate he done several changes to the car aswell as the dual stage rev limiter but did make huge improvement out of the hole but that could have been the converter aswell which is more likely.
