Hi.
Just qurious...
-In Sweden where I come from there has ben a discussion since ages ago,
werther a car is a street car or a race car,
and which is coolest.
People at Swedish forums that claim there cars are street cars seems to get more creds than people admitting there cars are just for race.

For instance:
1 guy builds a BMW E30 with 700bhp. he claims its a street car and that he uses it on the street. Maby not to work everyday but its still a street car in his opinion.
He uses MT Drags at the tracks.
He gets sponsors easily and everybody loves his car.

1 guy builds a BMW E30 with 700bhp. he runs a second faster than the first guy, but he doesnt claim it to be a street car. He admits he built it for racing.
For no obvious reason everyone still think the first dude with the slower car is cooler.
The faster dude cant get any sponsors and no one is interested in his car but his closest friends.

The faster car race on bigger illegal events on the streets and wins some money,
the slower just participate on smaller less serious events...

Now to the actual question:
How can the slower less effichiant car be more interesting,
just because he claims it to be a street legal street car.
None of the cars are actually street legal since none of them has passed the yearly m.o.t.-test.

In my opinion the fastest car is the coolest.
Race or street, who cares? Really?
-Or do you guys in AU also see it like that?

Because street cars weigh more and are bound by more restrictions, generally u don't want a car coming on boost at 5000rpm for the street so a smaller turbo is used(not too mention plenty of more *disadvantages*) PLUS you actually drive the car A LOT more, more enjoyment, street cars get more respect here........... yes.

The argument here is what is really a street car, many are registered but rarely get driven, the real ones are out every week.

street cars are better...most street cars don,t have 4 links or tubs so they have less traction therefore much more interesting to watch em try and get down the track....

Well I like both but I must say a street car with rego doing anything under 10's looks good. If they don't have plates on them (real ones) then it's not a street car IMO. But I think that a quick street car will allways be the way to go only because ya think how much fun would that be to cruse in LOL.. Saying that some of the cars with plates on them over here might have the same probs driving as a race car if they went on a 500k trip.. Respect to all racers I think..
