This was one of the rotory crashes but not the one that took an hour or more to get him out of the car, i believe that car was blue, and the reason they had to chop him out was because his roll cage was made from exhaust pipe and crushed on top of him when the car rolled.

Where do you hear that crap??!?, that was the crash that took him a hour to get out.

The reason it took so long to get him out is because the car was up against the wall on the drivers side, so to get him out they had to move the car, which was proving difficult as it was now on square wheels and not movable, Grant was still groggy so they didnt want to risk dragging it or lifting it until they knew he was ok, once Grant was stabilised they used a forklift to move it away from the wall so they could get him out.

The car had a full funnycar cage, and its actually a ex Rehayem owned car, man dont know where the rest of that bullshit comes from.

JUST
30-06-08, 05:58 PM
i was told this from a fello racer after he spoke to an official, i herd they had to wait for the fire truck to come and cut him out because of the cage crushing in on him

30-06-08, 06:17 PM
Well its all rubbish, as you can see the car never rolled and the roll cage held up just fine, the fire truck was called to get him out because they thought they wouldnt be able to move the car off the wall to get him out as they didnt know how injured he was and they may of needed to cut the car.

The other rotor to crash was purple, but damage wasnt two severe and the driver was out straight away.

Apparently 12 people got burnt at this bon fire they had on sat night and from what i was told that Jason and Mark Drew got burnt that bad they were taken to hospital and were in an induced (spelling) coma in Intesive care:eek: and the cause of the accident was someone putting some METHANOL Fuel into the fire......:shocked:shocked

And was told this morning that they may have been released today i think not to sure...I hope the boys and everyone else involved is OK!!?

i will say there were a few quality cars there but overall it was just a second rate event For those who have taken an interest in the goings on in pro st the past 12mths it is obvious why that was Instead of accepting the illegality of a few cars under apsa rules a few had to spit their toys out of their cots and try to go their own way As ive said before divide and conquer will never grow the sport! Also palmyra and supernats are both on again this year under apsa rules and there will be great racing at both of those with simon kryger having run so close to the magical 7sec zone in msb an 8-003 at the shootout at wsid last sat that 7sec pass cant be far away If one truely wants to race with and against the fastest streetcars in the land then apsa rules and events are the way to go comparing the 2 shootouts held last sat its quite obvious where the majority of the fast cars were and i hate to break this to you bevan but it wasnt QLD

you summed it up perfectly

i don't see how bad mouthing a pro street event can be well said or

you summed it up perfectly.....

there are only a handful of cars that would travel to and from sydney and qld anyway so having events on the same weekend dosen't matter so much.
i'm sure there where some awsome cars at both events.and both organisations are promoting the same thing and both want it to move on to bigger and better things.
your bad mouth and negativity just degrade the pro street scene.

there never should be two associations for the same thing [not in this country anyway we are not big enough] and there wouldnt be if someone could have checked his ego in at the door but you would know about that anyway as ive said before divide and attempt to conquer was never going to grow the sport fortunately the apsa seem to be going ahead well updating the rules as the cars go quicker and quicker but not loosing sight of what the rules were about when first formed around 15yrs ago
