ey, what type of blower would u purchase b coz there are many side mounted ones.like vortech, powerdyne, etc. annddd. i reckon with a fairly good cam on about 9-13 pounds boost (standard motor) you would get a rough 150 -220 RWKW. just a guess. [PSI-EFI]
and for the cam, i would reckomend a crane 286
BTW, i have friends that have a vq stato 5ltr, just put a cam and rockers and got it to run near the high 12 and to low 13.
Have you ever thought of flowing the heads so then u can raise the boost to say sumthing like 12-14 psi.
Only prob is the lobe separation with the 286 (108 degrees?). 284'd prolly be better to suit the supercharging idea imo. Either way, at least you don't have to machine the valve seats for the high lift(.496" or something?)...

for a stock 5ltr l would use a 41540 cam it will work with std convertor and diff ratio. with a 2500 stall and 3.45 diff use a 4650 cam both are Crow Cams. the first will work from around 1500 to 5200 were as the second would work from 2500 to 6300. both require a spring upgrade but only to a LT1 style , but if you plan to run
12 psi or more it would be a good idea to upgrade to a true double spring

:) i second fullCUBES, you get many factories who sell blowers, and their like, these blowers are good for stock, standard motors, if you leave em stock and go put sum forced air ind, u will just stuff up the motor, its a wank, maybe if u flow heads you could get away with little boost.im no genius but im trying to help.:)
