HQ Monaro - PROGMH

I thought I would share my ongoing project with everyone here.

Its a '71 HQ LS Monaro coupe. Since I have owned it she's copped alot. I havnt touched the paint or body work yet but everything else has been changed.
It now houses a 350 chev - Its a fairly basic combo with dart heads, victor junior bowtie manifold, 830cfm holley annular, balanced, flat tops, solid cam etc, IC&E ignition.
Gearbox is a TH350, full manual and all the gear.
Rear end is a 3.89 USA geared 9 inch with mini spool.

Its got 90/10 shocks up front, centreline convo pro wheels all around, and a retrimmed interior.

this thing is hot i love it i think ive seen u around elwood beach 1 or 2 times thiing is nuts got u on video doing a burnout :) keep it up bro the things tuff.

That is one awesome monaro! Nice write up in the other forum. I can just imagine how you feel from the day you picked it up with the slow 253, but still thinking it was the best car in the world because of what future plans you have for it, and just smiling...true??
Hq's are by far the meanest looking monaro in my opinion. Fat rims on the back look awesome. Paint looks clean as. Interior is superb and not to mention that killer motor. Your photos are top notch as well.
Tis definately one of those cars where you have to go down to the garage at night and just admire with awe.

Not exactly out and about. Ive driven it once since its been complete. Just having a few issues with the auto. Its currently getting sorted and should hopefully be back by the weekend. I havnt really even had any fun with the new combo yet.

elpimpo - my brother is into photography and has a pretty decent camera so thats why some of the pictures turned out well. The paint / body up close isnt nearly as good as it is in the pictures but its presentable, thanks for your kind words.

Ill update it with more pictures once I get this bloody thing back!

As above, went 11.58 @ 116mph on my first pass on a 30+ deg day at heathcote.

Just sorting a few things out now and hoping to race it again in the new year.
