Man, there is someone pulling my chain here.... grrr. My tuner spoke to an event organiser on tuesday this week about it, and he said they had full booking! Then he went to say that the cut off was for cars older than 1977. I was a TADD disappointed to hear this, being my car is 1977. Also he mentioned that they wouldnt allow turbo efi cars to participate, for some reason I forgot. AS my tuner was going to enter a customers 1973 Mazda Rx3Rotary turbo. So I was kinda hoping that I still may be allowed in. CONFUSED
As my understanding was Nostalga being steel bumper cars, regardless of engine combo? Is there a website I may refer to, for entry conditions in 'black n white' ?

I will give you a call Darren tomorrow. Or get get my tuner to call.

Thanks for that link HOLLYRAY.

My apologies to Gary and John for wasting your time on friday. I wasnt able to bring the corty. I have some ongoing issues with the car, and spent most of Saturday on the dyno, ironing out the bugs.

Hope to attend at the next event.

How did you go on the Dyno? Hope all sorted.

Had a awesome time
What a turn out
Great people and killer cars

We are really happy with the XA, she ran consistent 7.65's
So we dialled in at 7.60.
1st run, 7.62, WIN
2nd run, 7.61 WIN
3rd run, 7.58, LOSS, braking out by .02.

In the lunch brake, we took the Muzzy out for a power skid, 3/4 down the track getting skatey, the muzzy decided to go bush...lol...Gary kept into it, lucky that he did, because he could have ended on his lid like the hot rod 2 runs before us.
Lucky enough, not to much damage, only slight quater panel, when hitting the witches hat, all was on Gary's mind, not the timing lights, not the timing lights, and thank god, he didn't HIT THEM. so there wasn't to much wasted time, as it was a lunch brake any way.

All in all, had a ball.

Next time the Nostalgia Drags is near you, enter, worth your time and monies.

Had an orsom day was busy running around all day racing and organising the running of the event. Thought it was an excellent day for racing nice and sunny but not too hot, i only made it to the 1st round where i red lit 0.39 light on the tree .. my day was over. Spent the rest of the day running the timing system for John & Henri hopefully everyone was happy with the day. Have to say on behalf of the Ballarat Drag Racing Club wish to express our best wishes to Al & family for a speedy recovery after there incident at the weekend (Nutt'n Fancy.. 30's Ford). Best wishes to you !!! :)

Yeah, its all sorted. Gary. It was the fuel reg, faulty. Replaced it, and car made good power, and sounds strong. SO ready to rumble now. By the time we were finished, it was too late to shoot out to Ballarat. If your interested PM me your email address and I will send you a short dyno video.

They are some fantastic times you ran there mate. You gotta be happy with that. I sure as hell would? Whats a powerful engine in the XA. Does it run a big hit of Gas?

Does anyone have any videos of the day? And when will the results be posted? Pics etc..

Thanks again Gary.

There will be video footage of the day on Rodders Life so watch out for that ... plus i think most of the pics other than what " cortina-mrk1 " has posted will be placed into the Cruising Magazine when next issue is out ... someone after the day was finished said that Luke from here was suppose to have been there but this is only what i was informed if this is'nt true sorry Luke.
There is some video footage up on Youtube under " Nostalgias drags at Ballarat " so have a search there also.

Here are some more pics of the day which i found on another site ... http://www.burnoutsunlimited.com/events/bd240508/bd240508.html
