There was a decent turnout today, with heaps of cars running good numbers.
A few oil downs slowed proceedings and it was a bit disappointing the way it ended, but at least it was good to see a decent sport compact meet.

13 deg was dangerous, but they made me do my first qualifer when the track temp was 9deg.

try putting 960rwhp on a radial down on that, fucking joke.

the date needs to be changed next year, may is just too cold. early april at the latest.

we reset our MPH record after frying the tyres of it on the first pass. 10.50 at 156.92.

had traction issues on all passes, in the third pass it fried them hard at the 330, alternator belt came off, so massive voltage drop, big revs and lack of fuel not good, spun a bearing. cant wait for jambo with a good track and good air. hopefully we can finally get an 8.

congrats to the ozmod guys, there was some impressive et's going on there inthe middle of the day.

BOOSTN's first pass had a couple of pedals in it at the 300 foot mark. he broke the box on his second pass he told me so will be going to billet gears. that car is an animal

7SINS RX7 PB:

1.531 60ft, 117.72MPH half track, 9.557 @ 145.05MPH

Not bad considering it was only the second pass with my new 3 speed Jatco and transbrake set up. 475HP at the wheels. Which is a 100HP loss compared to the manual, but with a very flat dyno curve.

Only got my car back the day before, and had no previous practice

Old PB was 9.806 with manual box.

Last pass of the day was 9.574 @ 132.09 on a 9.55 dial in, foot on the brake before the finish line.
It was the pass before the crash, apparently I got 'close' to taking a timing marker out. Pat's "CRITTA" RX3 the run before mine was all over the track too.

Was a gr8 day of racing. It was gr8 to see as Melb hasnt had a lot. 1JZ474, I watched u blow the tyres off every pass buddy. It was bloody freezing. Bad lucj about the bearings. There were some gr8 numbers run and a few PBs. Mark Jacobson 8.07, was amazing with the amount of traction he had, every pass wasnt str8.Wasnt good to see the TCR beast touch both walls. Hopefully it will move back to a 2 day event.

for me personally , it was a awesome day out altho being elimanated in the first round i was happy being the only pulsar in the largely honda dominated field of allmotor.
ran a pb 14.098 at 96mph so that was the major high light of my day.

Unfortunately, some of the racers experienced mechanical difficulties. One of the most spectacular breaks resulted with this Scott Kelly endo. A transmission failure immediately locked up the front tires on Scott's Corolla and the tail end of the car lifted approximately two feet off the ground, burying the front bumper into the track's surface.

The BMW only came out late in the day and then had a little fire on the startline. I dunno about the silver RX3, there were so many there.

I remember them turning up v late. They were having trouble with the tune in the pits, wouldnt idle. Bill was there also with the laptop sorting. They also brought along the QSR Black RX3, a Candy Green Pac Powered RX3 & the Candy Apple twin turbo Ferrari.
Anybody know Y they parted with the R100?
