Pro Street Shootout exabition@WSID

I hear WSID are letting the A.P.S.A run their 4 classes as a exabition Pro Street style shootout at the upcoming Mega-buck event on 28 June 2008 as well as the regular classes for that event.

Classes are:

PROSTREET/BLOWN

PROSTREET/UNBLOWN

MODSTREET/BLOWN

MODSTREET/UNBLOWN

And are to be 8 car fields if we can get all filled if not then mix up PS/B and PS/U with 16 cars and MS/B and MS/U with 16 cars..

Have heard that there is alot of interest for this meet and we have nearly got all the classes filled up.

There are Cars from VIC and QLD plus all the local guy's so lets support it and hopefully it can get it's own event on WSID's calender.

There is no prize money just put on a big show for the crowd!

Now for all you narrow minded people out there THE DATE FOR THE SYDNEY SHOOTOUT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH APSA BECAUSE WSID PICKED IT!!!!!!!!!SO IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IT CALL WSID COMPLAIN TO THEM OR DON'T COME.

(Sydney, NSW) Once again Dollars are up for grabs for Sydney's Drag Racers at WSID on June 28 in a big bucks Bracket Attack event. To add additional spice and excitement to this event, the very popular Pro Street Drag Racers will also race in a Shootout that is sure to excite!

So what is Pro Street exactly?

Pro Street cars are Australia''s fastest streetcars, although not all cars in every class must be registered, they must come as close to appearing so as possible depending on class.

This includes size limits on tyres, OEM Transmissions, Engine Types and also self-starting!

Despite these limitations, these cars are brutally quick with the quickest cars producing 7.5 second Elapsed Times for the quarter mile at over 300kmh!

Also the wild and wicked 'wheels-up' launches from the awesome array of Sydney-based cars in particular is a regular Pro Street Drag Racing highlight!

Pro Street (as the name suggests) is all strictly heads up racing; man vs man, the way Drag Racing was first created and in most people''s opinion, the most exciting way to watch - uncomplicated and uncompromising!

True Street has to run radials and an exhaust I believe?

Due to it being an exahbition Shootout there will not be any True street class as to no one has even let the A.P.S.A know of any entrants so we are only having the 4 classes for now and when we do have a stand alone Shootout there will True Street aswell;)
