other than owning a ea II 5 speed for work, i have a pretty nifty pulsar et turbo. i havent had it dynoed for power just tune and its never seen the strip but have raced a gsxr 900 and beat it by about 3 car lengths whilst running a set of formula ford slicks on the front. to this day i have blown 15 standard gearboxes and two 450hp roller bearing turbos. i run 25 psi all day with no hassels and have run 30 psi on the odd occasion, acl pistons and a copper head gasket are my only non bolt on mods...anyway ill get to the point does any one know where i can get a a dog box set up for this thing cause standard boxes just arent holding up...thanks to anyone who can help.
how are you going mate. i have an et also, fun little cars! you might want to try this place,

Beating a 900 road bike, I'd like to see that.
Have you thought about adapting an auto for it?
You might have to lower the boost man!

I was thinking the same thing, it would have to be pretty quick to beat a 900 road bike.

If you are looking for a dog engagement gearbox, i would try giving PPGearbox a call. I know that he did make some, weather he makes them anymore or not i dont know.
The cheap option is to put the final drive from a N13 box in it which is a 4:13 as opposed to a 3:8 i think, it takes a little bit of load off the box but the gear is still the same strength.
Driving style has a lot to do with why these boxes break, if you rip through the gears really hard, the box will break. If you are a little more gentle with them when changing they last fairly well

Hi.
I only broke 3-4 or might have been 5 diff's (I lost count) in my N12 until I welded it.
After that all prblems with my gearbox were gone.
I never managed to destroy any gears, just the diff's.
Im not sure of how much actual power I had but I ran 11,53s - 189kmh (117mph) back in 2004.
Also, I didnt broke one single CV joint.
How you might ask?
I had driveshafts custom made in a steel that alows to twist some but not brake.
I dont know what the material is called in english but Im sure its available over there too.
Just ask any one who drives rally at slightly higher level what they are using.
My axles costed me aprox. 500 AU$ to get made.
Pretty much cheaper than going for a dog-box and destroy CV Joints untill you get tired of the car...
-Just my two cents.

I think you'll find that Bjorn ran that time in Scandinavia, I'm sure he can clarify this.
I think they are badged a Nissan Cherry in Europe?

i forget their names but didnt some bloke from QLD run his ET with gas in the lows 10s or quicker even
he was at a heathcote meeting early this year
he runs a CA18 turbo in a ET pulsar
That car is actually an N13 Pulsar, the ET is an N12, similar I know but yeah they run the smaller half sized RB30 engine known as the E15 lol. Heck half of the parts are the same!
That would be Chris Tait who ran 10.92 in his CA powered N13 last year but has a manual tranny back in the car atm.
