anyone got more info on this car?
all i know is, it has a custom billet crank to de-stroke it and its around 200ci
just from looking at it, the twin turbos are just stock ba turbos but 2 of them. on custom manifolds.

Are you refering to the new setup in Errol Quartermaine's DD/G HB Torana?

That is Errol Quartermaine from Western Australia. He has run that HB Torana body for years and years. The current set up is infact a Twin Turbo BA Falcon 4lt engine. I'm almost 100% sure the turbos are notfactory xr6t items. Errol has always run with straight 6 Fords, from memory all have been turbo/twin turbo, and all have bene in this HB bodied race car. I do not have specific details on the engine.
From what I know, the car runs a high stall, which causes problems if he is left on the line too long. He has run a PB of 7.9 which wasn't too long ago. Errol is a very approachable guy, and would share info on his car I would imagine. The thing is an absolute BEAST to watch. He has problems with launching the car, but when the launch is right, it hauls. I dont believe 7.9 is the best potential, and with a cleaner launch and better handle I would have thought 7.7's were a possibility. I think the body of the car becomes the restriction, its OLLLLD!

Crap, the 250 crossflow was designed 30yo as a tow car engine by yanks. Yes there are some who manage to produce "very good results" using this engine. Aka Joe Gauchi, Mark Williams, Anthony Brigs). However you cannot compare the 250 to a 4.0L. Only part thats interchangable is the crank, rods. The OHC 4.0L is 50mm Longer, 35mm Taller, sumps are different, and in its basic form produces on average 25% more power than its predicessor.
And WOW to Errol is he has a twin turbo BA Engine.... I am left a little confused to the previous posts thou. Is he running a 200crossflow??? or a DOHC 4.0L??? There is a world of difference between them both.
When I started this post I was curious to see what people where doing, and what power people could achieve with the 4.0L engine either a SOHC or DOHC vintage. Sorry for not being more clear.

yes i know the differences between the 250 cross flow, ohc and dohc engine
errol was running a ohv cross flow witch was 191ci, but has recently built the ba dohc motor that was de-stroked to aprox 200ci. witch has produced the 7.9 sec 1/4.
ok bak on topic now, it wasn't my intention the hijack the thread.
