Hi guys i need some help with an idea,
im Building a VH SL/E Commodore With a 2JZ-GTE Supra Motor.
I want to Have One big mutha of a turbo and a small turbo to help spool up the larger one. In My head it would work with the small turbo spooling of the exhaust gases (of course) Then the fresh air it pumps would spool the big turbo alot faster/ with this big turbo powering the engine? Anyone out there in the know I'd much appreciate any advice on this. Will it work?
thanks

It sounds like you are referirng to staged charging, which is used in diesels like tractor pulling. This is desinged to achieve huge boost levels, Diesel is a very different application!

I don't know much about turbos, but know this guy who is usin big turbo (800hp) + supercharger, which helps to spin his turbo earlier, as i said it b4 dont know much about it but according to him( that turbo on its own starts @6000-6500rpm and combo turbo+s/p should do around 2000-3000rpm and he is expecting pwr around 1500hp)

dude staged turbos are a whole lot of messin around. just go for a big single with nos to spool it up or get twins like GT35s or T04Zs, they make mega power on 2Js.

some cars come standard with staged turbos;

but just use a single big turbo on a 2j as

they are can spool a big turbo easily any way.......
