i am just wondering what a ba v6 can do down the 1/4 mile. i am about to get a ba fairmont chia and my mates tell me that a vx comodore can beat them down the 1/4 mile. my brother has a v6 vx berlina totaly stock and he got a best 16.25 can a ba v6 beat this time.
let us know what you guys are getting
You should be aiming for mid 15's quarter mile. I had a company car Ford Falcon BA base model which is lighter than the Fairmont. I took it down to WSID for a laugh. And got 15.21@92mph so the VX V6 should be no problem.
The BA's have 190KW and nearly 400 newton metres torque. Where a VX V6 has 152KW and just over 300 newton metres torque.
No comparison the Ford will win.

Commodores have V6s. ie 3 cylinders in each bank making a V shape.
Falcons have an I6 or straight six, all cylinders are in the same bank in a row.;)
