i am just wondering what a ba v6 can do down the 1/4 mile. i am about to get a ba fairmont chia and my mates tell me that a vx comodore can beat them down the 1/4 mile. my brother has a v6 vx berlina totaly stock and he got a best 16.25 can a ba v6 beat this time.

let us know what you guys are getting

You should be aiming for mid 15's quarter mile. I had a company car Ford Falcon BA base model which is lighter than the Fairmont. I took it down to WSID for a laugh. And got 15.21@92mph so the VX V6 should be no problem.

The BA's have 190KW and nearly 400 newton metres torque. Where a VX V6 has 152KW and just over 300 newton metres torque.

No comparison the Ford will win.

yes they do v6, staight6 and inline6 are all six's arnt they

Never checked the tyre pressures. The tyres were stock.

Commodores have V6s. ie 3 cylinders in each bank making a V shape.

Falcons have an I6 or straight six, all cylinders are in the same bank in a row.;)
