[QLD] HONDA MEET 2008
If your after a day that will provide Honda enthusiasts a fantastic run combining long sweeps, narrow hill climbs/descents and cruisey straights amongst the Sunshine Coast region, this days for you!
So here we go.
IF WEATHER LOOKS DODGEY - PM ME TO CONFIRM.
Destination: Mooloolaba
Date: Sunday 1st of June 2008
Main meeting point: Morayfield BP (just off the Bruce Hwy)
other meeting points:
* southsiders - meet up at springwood IKEA (top car park) @ 10.00 for a 10:15 departure. (meet leader:
* northsiders - meet at nudgee shell @ 10:45 for a 11:00 departure. (meet leader:
Time: 11:30 for a 12noon departure.
cruise duration: 2-3 hours
things to bring:
• full tank of petty (can fill up at BP)
• water, water and more water
• CB radio (set it to channel #21)
• camera
• friendly, non-hooning attitude
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A HONDA ONLY CRUISE!
The cruise will kick off at the big BP servo, just off the bruce highway. This gives everyone a chance to fill up and grab a bite to eat prior to departure @ 12. We will then jump back on the Bruce Highway and follow the directions.
*please note: directions will be handed out on the day!
On return to the coast, we will reach Maroochydore at roughly 2-3pm, we will formally conclude here, but a large majority of us, I hope, will continue on in a group along the esplanade towards Alex Heads for some "tough laps."
please note that there will be oncoming traffic so careful when taking corners. These sections of roads are fun at pace but please stay within your limit and remember some people are slower/faster, cars handle better/worse and we don’t want to any incidents reflecting the us car enthusiasts, so simply think about it when your driving and we will all have a fun and safe trip.
if anyone decides to take it upon themselves to disobey road rules, expect to be asked to leave. It's seriously the last thing we need in the scene at this point in time..
