well great day! he ran three 7 second passes with a best of 7.7 @ 176.
that thing is a machine.
i love watching it race!
Look's like they've really got the latest engine set up working. ;)
For me it was the stand out,of a somewhat dissapointing day.The car is strong and just red lit to stop his run.Apparently half the engine is turbo!!! makes sence, and for great viewing

Where can I found some details for this car? There has not been a subby in the states even close to those times.

Its not WRX 4cyl power anymore, was and held the record for the quickest WRX at a low 8, but now its got a extra two cylinders.

It was featured in the last issue of Zoom magazine, but I guess that doesn't help much if your in the States.
Actually come to think of it, apparently the Easy Street WRX cracked the 7 second barrier in private testing it was rumoured, so they're probably the closest over there.
Tony Rigoli Performance (TRP) used to do the engine's for these guy's at one stage.

On the weekend in the US the Easy Street WRX ran 7.93@170mph. This is with a 4 cylinder and still 4WD. At an official event. Yeah Rigolis use to build the motors for Easy Street but that fell through. They are now using Cosworth built motors.
Once the Rigoli's start cranking more boost into it and finally add nos, Easystreet won't be able to keep up. Rigolis are the kings of Subarus.

Easy street is also a full tube chassis car. Easy street is having the same problems that, we are having with the car bouncing. a car that bounces doesn't make it down the track in any way safely. I will post some videos of Shepracing when we where have some serious issues with the bounce. I think we might have some of that worked out.
I was wondering if this WRX was still on the uni body platform.

You have to PM the person who started this thread vlboostn he is in the Rigoli team. Its the same car they held the WRX 4 cylinder 4WD record. They stripped out that motor wacked in a SVX 3.3 litre 6-cylinder, a Ford 9 inch diff, lenco gearbox, not running full boost only around 27psi and they haven't ran it yet with nos. It is not a full tube chassis like the ESX WRX so this car should way around 2700lbs.

Do they still run the car on gas? That is baby boost to us over here in our camp. lol Wow that is really a heavy car.

They haven't used gas so far on any of there runs. Just 27psi all boost.
You guys have Titan Motorsport Scion as your quickest PRORWD Sports Compact car running 6.4@220MPH right?
Here in Australia we are a bit behind the quickest is 6.8@203mph powered by a Titan 2JZ powered Camry. Followed by Pac's MX6 20B running 6.9@199mph.
If Rigoli goes full tube I reckon he can match these times but not with a uni body. I still reckon he can get down to 7.2@190mph without a full tube chassis. Hopefully.
Rigoli had problems with the bounce as well off the line when they were 4wd. Now that they are RWD the problem they have is tyre smoke. lol
:)

They use to run 45psi+ in there 4 cylinder WRX. But the new SVX motor has never been pushed by anyone in the world before so they are turning up the boost slowly slowly. It should get to 40psi if the motor can handle it then it will fly.

yes it is methanol, vids up on www.rigoliracing.com.au need divx to watch right click and save
fek its tough in the video...it sure loves to smoke the tyres up on take off!
this thing is only gonna get quicker
Here's a vid of easystreet
http://videos.streetfire.net/search/vegas/0/830b7b32-bff6-4d31-82ec-df2621e686e7.htm
The Easystreet car ran the 7.92 with 39 pounds of boost and a 1.27 60ft. We then ran the car again and went 8.0 at 175mph but Ali lifted when he got wheel spin in 2nd. Next pass I turned the car up to 50 psi we did a 1.15 60ft and blew 2nd gear in the box so we were done for the day. Our car is 2200pounds and we run it on vp import. Max power is a little under 1300hp on 57 pounds of boost.
I have 100% fixed the bouncing problems with the car and it goes strait down the track.
Our motors were built buy cosworth in 2005, all of this year we have been building the motors in house.

So Rigoli's car is heavier than Easystreet, is not full tube chassis like Easystreet, runs alot less boost, yet has gone quicker. Gotta love the extra cubes :p
Very impressive

This is from his first outing, that was Test n Tune Oct 15th @ Meremere Dragway in NZ
copied from rexnet :
The long awaited Ross Rutherfords RWD WRX debuted at the test and tune on Oct 15th @ meremere.
The car Ran its first pass which was a 10.1 shutting the engine off at half track.
The second pass the car got loose at 3/4 track so he backed off and ran a 8.6 @ 128 mph (Car hit 130mph @ 1/2 track).
Rain later in the day meant the car couldnt make any more passes....
