Hi Guys,

I am new here I have taken my RS6 to WSID a few times to see what it runs. My PB so far is a 12.324@114.74 car has been tuned otherwise standard.

I have spoken to a few people who tell me there is still room for improvement mainly in the 60' times.

Another RS6 at WSID has run a 60' of 1.784 as opposed to 1.936 on my PB run.

I have attached my time slip and would appreciate any input from people who are experienced in this, below is a link showing my time against other RS6's around the world.

Thanks in advance.

Wow that's an awesome time for a stock car.
If you can improve the 60 foot times you will get very close to an 11 second pass.
And if someone else has done it in an identical car you can do it too.
Stage nice and shallow and don't go too nuts with any skids. :)

thanks,

The car is 2000kg and 4WD. Hardest part is not getting it to bog

this may be a long shot but check out what this bloke says about GTR's particualy in the launching part.

it may well be applicable in the RS6 as well, you will notice most GTRs dont just dump the clutch ontakeoff instead easing off before grip is 100% then full bore the rest of the track

you're reaction time is 0.641. you dont need to be that quick on the lights at a test and tune.

just stage, relax, and practise different rpm launches, clutch dumps, side steps, slipping it, all different kinds of things like that, and write what you did each time on the back of the time slip and at the end of the night compare what worked and what didnt.

any extra weight you can get out of it counts too, so ditch the jack, spare tyre and anything else that isnt bolted down in the boot! (if you hadnt already)

tyres have a bit to do with it too, as well as track temp and ambient temp. Did the guy who 60 in the 1.7's have stock rims and tyres, or some better form of tyre like an azeni, proxie, etc
