Wow.. I gather it won or will win... Is there any vid of that thing? Or any others on the dyno. Hope you all have a good weekend over there..
thats a nice little cruiser lol, that would be fucking insane to drive
That Ute is unreal.
I see Gary Pope made 1500 odd.

Apparently NATIONAL got 1940 odd today. HPHER.0(formerly TRYHRD) got somewhere in the 1800's as well. BLO402 had turbo problems.
Yea, TRYHRD made 1895rwhp from it's small block.
Has anyone managed to get an engine bay shot from the National Automotive ute? I want to know if it's injected or carbied.

dyno queens
blow through carby by jakes performance
Yeh thats big power but it don't mean theses cars are fast you could put a truck on the dyno and see big power too and a truck defiantly ain't fast. tuning your car to make big power on the dyno and tuning for fast strip times are to different things
No ones doubting they are different and I assure you if these guys wanted a fast 1/4 mile car they could have it with the amount of cash they have dropped on these engines. Different stroke for different folks, if you don't have an appreciation for both then your not a petrol head.

Dont get me wrong i enjoy the dyno comp as much as the next person its all good fun,its just some people think its the BE ALL and END ALL
If people want to build dyno cars, let em, it's thier car!
I prefer blacktop racing as well but can still appreciate the engineering side of these types of competitions.

That black ute, the gold commodore and the white WB all had something in common...

what tyers was blo402 wearing on the dyno looks to have semi's on in that photo

they are probably some expensive z speed rated tyre. Dont want another blow out on the dyno like what happened at the workshop!
also.. WHO CARES?

they are semi slicks for circuit racing! not like drag semi's circuit semi's have harder side walls. They probably do have a Z speed rating.

HPF boys were very happy with there 3 cars as the cars were having massive problems on there own dyno.. (traction problems and what not. there upgrading there dyno to the same 1 used at the nats, as there higher reading dyno's and new tie down system :)

u r trying to make me look silly in every thread im well aware the tyre popped on the car on the dyno but im talking about the soft compound heating up on the dyno

they are probably the only z rated tyres made.
if bob jane all rounders had a z speed rating, im sure they would use them.

so the pirally (spelling) p zeros are not z rated?

it's not about the tyre popping. it's about grip! semi's need heat to grip so it's kind off a good idea if you ask me. wonder wheather it works or not?
Apologies for the late reply with info.
The reason we have gone to circuit type comp tyres is sidewall strength. We found that street tyres would deform when tied down tight and last only a couple of runs.

hey can i ask why the tyers are blowing out on 1 car and not another?
There is no particular reason for it. Its just that BLO402 has had a lot of dyno runs while we tested different tyres/pressures and tie downs.
