ey guys i own a gemini i know ur probably going to be throwing rocks and stones at me but i recently put a sr20 s15 with the variable cam timing in the bloody thing i built the engine bottom to top didnt really leave anything out, got the extractors that are the same length bolted up to a gt 550 roller, hosted by a motec, just wondering if any of u scientist could shed some light on how much i can rev this thing to and what kinda power output would i be looking at on 20 psi thanks

you serious not one of u so called nissan inthusiest could give me a reply not one of u pack of wankers ever done up a sr20 motor if anyone puts the e in idiot its u lot
huh?
now that you've called them all wankers for not replying in 1.5 days, they won't now. You might want to post some stats on the motor before asking what it's capable of.

They have a factory rev limit at 9750rpm. The good thing is you dont have to worry about it as if you rev it too hard the limiter cuts in. Just give it the berries till it cuts in.
So youve built the thing bottom to top, done an engine conversion but have no idea on the characteristics of it? Backyard job?

thanks for the advice on the rev range thought theyd rev around 8, 8500, ive put rocker stoppers in apparently the lifters fly off on thoses from reving hard, man it aint no backyard job, its a 10 year project car, i was running a piazza up untill now, just didnt feel the need to say what kind of head gasket ive put in the engine compared to the head work and boring out of the block which u have to do when u put forged over sized pistons anyways, i thought u guys would understand that building an engine from bottom to top means that shit without me drilling u lot with every detail. i didnt go to hard on the cams, just street cams. the basic setup is xf throttle body, im using the non turbo inlet manifold for quicker boost, seimans 750 cc injectors, like i said 550 roller, with the best extrators, 3 inch dump towards half car, then spits into two 2 and a half inch. 3 and a half inch garret core intercooler and a motec computer. whos done up this type of motor before and what kinda power am i looking at the wheels with 20 psi. OR WHAT POWER HAVE U MADE WITH THE SAME TYPE OF ENGINE THANKS YOU

I would not rev it past 8000rpm with the stock lifters - you will run into problems with them pumping up way too much and with the rocker arm stoppers you'll probably end up snapping the rocker arm - which i have done on one of my sr's with an accidental over rev...I now have HKS lash killer kit (solid lifters) and I dont bother reving past 8200rpm, as i rather have durability than an extra 500rpm of power band...
With that setup u should see anything between 250-280rwkw depending on what fuel your using on 20ish psi with power coming on strong at around 4000rpm and pulling good till about 7500rpm - depending on cams and cam timing etc...

turbostyler ur the man i was after, u defenetly know what ur on about, that was my thoughts on the stats just wanted a second opionon the reason i was curious is because this ferret i know told me some crackers story about a s15 that ran 300 kw at the wheels on pump fuel. bunch of pinochiiocs. thanks alot.

dang thats one tuff s15....
It is possible to run 300rwkw on an SR on pump fuel, but its largly dependant on engine work and turbo setup. For example my mate up here in QLD made 420rwhp in his 180SX and ran 10.99@124mph with a 1.4 60 foot, in my old S13 i made 365rwhp (on a dyno that reads low) and ran 11.1@131mph with a 1.6 60 foot both cars on pump fuel (mine had a bit of octane booster thrown in) and lowish boost (around 19-20psi). Since my last track outing I gained an extra 80rwhp in top end rpm due to cam gear adjustments however wrote off my car before i could run it again. Now im building a 200sx with wider guards and a cage to dip into the 10s at hopefully near 140mph...
