They were considering retiring the GTR but they have redeveloped it somewhat (still ironing things out) and are aiming at going faster. They are getting somewhere near finishing the 350Z as well as far as I know. Not 100% on whether they will be able to race it before the end of the season though I understand that is the intention.

You should be able to find all the info available on the website link provided :)

It's kinda similar to the need for speed R32 from Malaysia?

1/4 = 8.378

Given how long the Heat Treatments GTR has been around, I'd say the "Malaysian" (the Speed-D R32 is actually from Thailand) R32 is like the Heat Treatments one....

Sounds like they are still on track to race this weekend. For the first time in ages Heat Treatments are not the fastest import in NZ, the Rayglass Celica ran a 7.46 at the nationals last weekend.

GTR is all ready to run this weekend, they report it has over 1200whp on 35psi and has plenty more to give - will potentially be wound up further on the day by the sounds.

Should be fun :D

The new season is kicking off in NZ now and Heat Treatments have spent the off season working on engine reliability and useable power as well as sorting out the chassis better. They report they had it on the dyno yesterday and it sounds like they have been able to run it harder than usual (Keith McGregor has thrown numbers like 1800hp+ out there, which is uncharacteristic of the HT team to let slip) without any HG leakage etc, so fingers crossed with more useable more and some more clutch tuning etc they may be able to squeeze a slightly quicker times out of it....

Its first meet is the 6th and 7th of December at Fram Autolite dragway in Meremere, NZ.

1800hp + Meremere = big fun!

Have you seen Meremere in person?? Rayglass managed the first import 6s run on that track recently... impressive stuff.

Don't need to. I reckon it'd be awesome to chuck a car like that down a regional track. Put the wind up the V8 boys something chronic!

Here is a clip from its first meet in quite some time, they were testing a new wheel/tyre/engine setup and couldn't really wind the boost up due to a missfire but still a really good start to the season:
