Hey all i was just after some info from those who have been down the road.

I am building a VL turbo with and aim of 380 to 400 rwkw,so my question is its quiet obvious the Rb25/26 heads are far better than ya averadge rb30 head but i was just wondering what is the main difference between the two heads "25/26" obviously the 25 head is cheaper and from what i understand but have there limits too aftermarket cams ect compared too the 26 head.

Another question is will a 25 head in standard form be suitable for 380 to 400 rwkw or is that pushing it abit too far?

And is it a straight bolt up too the rb30 block and what has too be done on the sides of wiring it up modifications too the head itself ect?

And if anyone has done this how much roughly has the head transplant set em back not including the price of the head?

Thanks in advance for any info....;)

can tell u its not a straight bolt up

and think there are some differences between a 25 head and a 26 head.

25 is hydrolic lifter, 26 is solid, 25 requires maching to fit larger cams in it,

25 heads work fine,

we have one on our rb30 200sx, makes easy power and has run 10.1 and 141mph with a rb25 5 speed box
