Plenty of great cars to see.
Pitty about those jet cars, if it wasn't for them I would have got home 3 hours earlier.
Waste of time in my opinion.( The Jet Cars)

Dont even start me on closing the track for the burnout comp. Get rid of it!!!
Another waste of 1 1/2 hours track time.

Naughts,
We only stopped for a dinner break for an hour and we run the burnout comp during this time for the crowd. Some people love the burnouts. I stop for an hour on major meets to give all the racers plenty of time to get their cars ready, have dinner etc.
As for the jets, I dont really like them either, but given that we had a record crown for Boxing day tells you something and all those spectators who come help pay for the prize money for you guys.
And we finished at 11pm. Usually we finish at 10pm so I wasnt that far off schedule.
Sorry that you feel we wasted your time.

Joanne.
Didn't waste my time, I had a ball.
Some really tough cars. I just felt with that many cars there, the more track time for them the better. Dont get me wrong, once you see a jet car, you seen one. Only my opinion, every bodys got one!!!!

As for the burnouts, I guess tea time is a good time.

Sorry if my first post was a bit negative.

I'm sure the public (Spectators) Love the burnouts and Jet cars.(As the numbers indicate)
Speaking to many drivers, THEY (The drivers) would have liked more test and tune time. There were so many cars there, it was a bit hard to get a few T&T runs in.

Dont think I put my opinion over very well in my first post!!!!!!!!!!!

Naughts,
Its okay, Im tired too. But usually at a major meet we have a test n tune on the Friday before. And as for the breaks, the staff start at 7 so they need a couple of breaks, working in the hot sun all day, I know we cant please everyone but can only try.
Cheers

I guess the Jet car incident was unfortunate and time consuming.
You must have been worried when you saw it!!!!!!
Your staff do a great Job, and were quick to react. Good to see
Long day for Staff, organisers and Drivers.

Cheers

A big thanks to joanne and russell for such a good race meeting and to all their crew of staff for such a professional job done on the day. As usual a race meet with no political crap and very few cleanups. It was great to see such support from both the racers & spectators at the track and can only be a good thing for HPR. We nearly had a full field of bikes and had some good racing all round. All three of our bikes & riders had PB'S on the day and one went to the semi's which was a bonus. I personally don't think i could think of a better xmas pressy than to spend boxing day racing each year. Again congratulations to JO & RUSSELL from all at OCD RACING for another great day of dragbike racing at H.P.R.:)
