Just wondering which camera you think would be better for motorsport photography?
400D - http://www.shoppingsquare.com.au/p_1440_CANON_400D_KIT_1855mm_SLR_CAMERA
D40X - http://www.shoppingsquare.com.au/p_1243_Nikon_D40X_Digital_SLR_w1855mm_Kit
Both seem very good can't make my mind up.

NIKON D40x FTW !!!!:)
But consider buying a 70-200mm VR Lens instead of the cheapy 18-55mm that comes standard, especially if u r doin motorsport photography!

Just wondering if these would do the same job as the 70-200mm?

yeh looks good the Sigma lens BUT,,,,,,,,It does not have VR wich is a Vibration Reduction system that make takin a photo a brezze!
Wat you can do is when your panning and you are not a very steady person it will make the shot very clear and crisp even though you were shaking when you took the shot!
Do ya get my drift?????
What photography are you goin to do! Motorsport, landscape??? or mostly everything?

Also, I can't seem to find if these lens have the motors built into them? im pretty sure they do as because my D40x doesnt have the motors to AF.
ahh edit:
What about these ? http://photobuff.com.au/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=240
Have you considered a Pentax? I just bought a K10D and am absolutely stoked with it!!! They are around the some $$$ as the cameras you're looking at and the Pentax's have built in image stabilisation so you don't have to spend outrageous amounts on IS/VR lenses. Just a suggestion anyway.
Google it and read some reviews.
