I dont know if its me but every time I research turbonetics on whichever forums people seem say nothing but bad things like, "it shit itself after 2 boosts", " the c.h.r.a's are shit i'm on my 3rd one" and "peices of my impellor decided they wanted to chill out in my intercooler", man are these turbos bad or something cause the gt-k series won some award, anyways feel free to input if you know bout em' cause i'm tossing up buying 1 coz i sold my gt45r 2 my mate with a vortech blown 351w that he now wants to turbo instead

Yeh, you might be on to something. I was easternats this year standing near the dyno talking to Mike from mikes dynos and Scott from ChipControl. We were watching this Rodeo run up that had a Turbonetics Thumper. After only a half hearted run it made a little backfire and the compressor wheel parted company with the exaust wheel chewing out the comp cover in the process. I noticed they use a very small diameter shaft (maybe for better response) which obviously broke. Lot of money to spend on something so delicate. Mate id go a GT55 or 47.

I like the wheels and housings combos that they have, however one of my close friends has a turbonetics turbo and it has died within a thousand or so km's of use, boost was around from 20-30psi

yes it is true-

turbonectic's have been having a lot of bad feedback due to them breaking down-

it is happening worldwide-and if u research the failure's it tends to show that the exhaust wheels are coming off and that the front wheel also breaks and gets sucked and stucked back in the comp cover-

people do not know why its breaking and turbonectics are also saying why its happening-(maybe it is a oil issue or etc etc)

if u are looking at a turbo pt and the new range of borg warner are going strong-along with the billet turbo's australia in qld
