The problem Shepherd racing had all day is blowing the tires off in third and fourth. this is the reason John had missed shift.

"We did not have a headgasket issue, I screwed up and shifted from 3-2 twice and it destroyed the valve train and the aem lost sync which backfired the engine and blew a hole in the head. To friggen bad. We had a spot open to test the car on Monday and see how far we could take it.

The engine does not appear to be laying over even at 11k so i think 200 mph would be possibl with this gearing. I am going to try a taller final drives to see if it helps or hurts just so I know though.

Oh and my car is no way "street legal" Fun to drive on the street ? HELL YES"

It's a DSM (Diamond Star Motors) which was a project between Mitsubishi and Chrsyler. The car uses a Mitsubishi drivetrain.

That Poor guy would be Myself and I was stuck to the track. it was so sticky from the V8's laying down rubber. that this was the first time i got stuck wiping down tires, way back from the starting line. I had to pull my feet off the track.lol

To clear somethings up. The car went 8.0@195mph with a major bog out the hole. The 7.70@191.mph pass was not even a clean pass.

Shepracing was out for the last time of the year, to try and claim the AWD record. Before your season got started, but fell short do to the H pattern shifting and loss of traction at 130mph. We did claim the baddest of the bad at the Import vs Domestic event. Look for whats next to come from Shepracing in 2007.
