Hey guys heres my car, im in the middle of bolting on a turbo, and yes i have a series 1 engine so therefore i dont have recieve/return lines on the block i am getting custom lines and fittings made up so i dont have to drill and tap in the block.

haha thanks Jono, whats the latest at CV Performance any new big guns? i might be coming there for a tune once i get this thing running

Running Gear

Block: Standard high comp bottom end, will put de-compression plate once this head gasket blows
Head: might put a mild cam in
Box: Standard Jatco 4spd with a tranny cooler, i'll be goin straight to Al's race glides once it blows
Tailshaft: Standard 2 piece
Diff: 3.8:9 gears and lsd

Bolt-ons

Turbo: Standard T03 Turbo with standard manifold
Plenium: Standard turbo plenium (getting it painted gold)
Intercooler: AVO Stage 2 (piping in engine bay is going to be painted gold too)
Computer: LINK With a handset (plugs in the standard harness and fits in the standard box)
Injectors: 440cc Porsche injectors (Cleaned and Flowed)
Fuel Pump: VL Turbo
Fuel Regulator: Malpassi
Turbo Timer: Bogaard

As you can see i've welded fittings on the side of the sump and on the turbo for oil return, i'll be recieving oil from the oil pressure switch with a T-Piece. i will be tapping a fitting in the radiator hose flange to recieve water for the turbo (just behind the water pump), and i'll plumb it back into one of the water lines around the block somewhere.

Looks nice as.

All that gold in the bay reminds me of PLATNM (Bresciani car). Might want a better fuel pump tho. No point buying a VLT pump as when you turn up the boost it'll probably need to be replaced.

27-09-07, 11:04 PM
Thanx, haha yea i get that alot, i already have the vl turbo pump i got it with the turbo conversion kit, but ill leave it up to the mechanic when he tunes it, if i need a bigger one ill change it, but i doubt it because i will be running standard boost so i think it'll pump enough.

man to tell you the truth, its not that hard if you set your mind to it and kno a lil about mechanics its pretty basic. im close mates with they guys that own bellevue and they've respayed parts of my car. im not building the thing for power im just building a nice cruiser, if i was chasing numbers i wouldnt bother putting a standard turbo on it. im only tuning it on 7psi si im guessing it'll run a high 14...

its not a turbo motor though, its an 87 motor but u should have the holes near ur engine mount on the exhaust side, what year model is ur motor or calais?

JET-086
16-10-07, 12:13 AM
it doesnt have the fittings on the block. mine is one of the early series 1 calais. in 86 holden/nissan brought out 2 different rb30 blocks one with the fittings and one with blank spots like mine. when the series 2 came out, they discontinued making blocks like mine and just put plugs in the holes.
