vl turbo intercooler and piping sizes??

hi guys..i own a vl calais turbo and was wondering if anybody could give me sum info on what would be tha best size pipes and cooler to run! im currently running a t3 with 3'' pipes to the cooler and to the intake manifold,and the cooler inlet and outlet is the same size. im notecing a fair bit of lagg on take off but once its up to speed it seems to be very powerfull! could this be due to have too larg of piping or too small of turbo??:D help will be much appreciated.thanx

3 inch is a little overkill for a the factory T3. Id be using 2 1/4 from turbo to cooler and 2 1/2 from cooler to throttle. Similar to an AVO stage 2 setup. Top intercooler. Not much point going to 3 inch pipe if the throttle is only just over 2 inches in diameter. You will notice much better response and the torque increase will far outweigh the topend power.
