Well for those who remember me and my car and those of you who care (or have nothing to do and want to see some car pic and read a little) back in the day i owned a turbo XE Ghia on LPG, was dumped, intercooled had LSD, manualised C9 and nice paint, after owning this for a while, i started gettin over this car, was bout to start shift work in the city and the car was a pig in the heat and would never warm up in the car in winter, decided to put the word out bout selling and got lots of interest, shortly after the car was sold (very sad day)

Next up was goin to be a V8, time for a change, wanted something 90's something more like a LTD or ED Ghia or XR8 with air con and no vibration in the car! All i found was expensive sh1t boxes with way to many to many dints. then i spotted a nice, dead stock EF XR8, talked down the price alot and it was mine!

Now the plan was maybe lower it a little, upgrade car audio and may some mild engine mods to bring the 170kw beast (not) to a number closer to 180kw.
1 week later and the car was sitting nice and low and a week later pacemaker extractors and redback 2.5” exhaust was fitted, short time later audio upgrade was done.

Few months went past, SVO rims went on as well as Preston autos and diffs shift kit but lack of power was really getting to me, was tryin to convince myself to leave the car as is but that didn’t last and the hunt for grunt began. First thoughts were powerdyne supercharger but the motor was pretty buggered and some boost would of killed it and I didn’t have budget for motor rebuild and the powerdyne. Then I looked at NA setups but I seamed it was all or nothing changing heads and cam would also need intake manifold and id need to get the bottom end done as well, looking into this was real upsetting, bug bucks for minimal results, and selling the XE was looking like a very bad move.
After some time reading up on options for the good old 302 and lots of asking around, 347 stroked became a nice option, bout the same price as a powerdyne setup and same performance and much more legal looking engine bay. Blue Power Racing Developments was found and a deal was made, but a short time later, bit of poor driving resulted in me clipping a wall and the XR8 was looking ruff.
