Hey how come most of the turbo E-series falcon turbo's I see around are using stock rods when all you hear about in the BA XR6 section these are the weakest link! I was gonna run stock rods but i'm now gettin forged I beams for peice of mind Also I hear the AU bottom end is the 1 i should go 4

The BA's are creating alot more torque ( torque and rpm is what bends and damages rods not power), not sure if there is much difference though in the rod design from au to ba

ba twincam rev a lot harder than the early engine and put a lot more strain on rods & bolts.

the ba rods are longer and skinnyer. even looking at them side by side the e-series look stronger.

So with all that power the BA's make how come there all so f/ing slow! I mean come on the mikes dyno EA is almost in the 9's man with 500rwhp@5000rpm when a barra has the same power they do 11's and you cant say that there too heavy cos ol'mate has a ute.......

weight, and no one is prepared to go all out and use it for drag use, they all want fast street cars and that means drive it to the track and drive it home without changing anything including taking weight out of the heavy things

The utes are actually 50-70kg heavier than a sedan. go figure. with the hard top they have a massive weight difference, mine weighs in at 1800kg, need to take some weight out of the barge.(better yet ive just rebuilt the motor and hunting more kw)

Did you get an atomic rebuild kit? I quoted 1 4 my setup but its too pricy 4 me just gettin the rods peened, nitrated crank and JE pistons, MRD's ed falcon has got 614rwhp on just acl race rebuild kit go figure!

I just freshened it up and put H beam rods in, so stock pistons.
Good horsepower
