Hey man got the huffer at a good price and thought hey if it dont spool how i want it too i'll change the turbine housing. Wade is doing a secret spec cam 4me atm all I can say is it's gonna swing to 6500 and talkin to my local turbo specialist ray hall, with the motor at 9.0:1 and 15lbs of boost should see approx 370rwkw and yeah ive got 4 different head configurations goin down atm cause i have ties with my local wrecker and a flow bench. Hey fritzz when do you see boost with the T04Z are you manual/auto? My car mainly for strip I'm Chasin the Mikes Dyno Car down if he doesnt get too far ahead Because completion is still a year away due to funds I'm putting $300 a week away 4 my baby and makin my own lunch lol! Labour is all free cos i got the connections I need. Sheetmetal, alluminium, painters, mechanical engineer, and I'm a deisel fitter

well going by the sm4 data logger it see boost at around 1800 with full boost around 3000. the car was auto, but is now a manual. its a every day streeter and its great to drive.
ray hall is a very helpful person, and realy knows his stuff a great person to have helpin u!
sounds like a good setup, keep us updated!!!
hey boys, i got a ef xr6 that i wonna turbo. any advice wld b gr8t. thanx
that EA from Mikes has a forged bottom end. He busted a piston on a pass a little while back. I have an EB fairmont, was thinking to do the same.
Mikes EA engine just has a std rebuilder with ACL bits.
he told me it had forged pistons. Must have got his wires crossed.

Yeah, I spoke to him on the weekend about it and he said the engine was still very simple, just with the forgies

THE mikes dyno ea has a stock bottom end with acl race series piston and arp rod bolts forged piston are not available for ea to el 4 lts fords
Mike musn't know what he puts in his engines? lol. I'll have to ask him again. Either way its pretty tame. Nice to know they are reasonably strong.

stuck atm shit load of bills etc held me back but my mate has only one more week to finish off some sheetmetal work in th engine bay then i can send it in for paint and start peicing it back together, i've ripped out the fuel tank and made an executive descision to go staight lpg after seeing cars like jasons and the gasman's go why not, cheap, reliable and holy shit i never thought i'd say this about bbq fuel but powerful? who would have thought 470rwkw was acheiveable on such a thing as lpg can i see a trend starting......
yeah they can get that power, but you wont make anywhere near that, with regular LPG components. If you find out how they squeeze that much output from a single LPG tank, fill us all in, I'd sure as hell like to know.

read the lpg thread in the tech section it tells you exactly how

not really mate, you are obvioulsy new too LPG, they mention what componenets are used, but not how they have modified the tank, and they also probably wont tell, but rest assured if you use one standard tank/outlet, you will not make 470rwkw, regardless of the hardware used up front, infact you will make 220-240rwkw depending upon the fuel composition and weather, that can be gauranteed.
some claim 260rwkw but where I am, based on dyno testing 220rwkw is where the tanks typically max out, in hot weather maybe a little more, and maybe more if propane content is higher.
the newer style apa outlets flow slightly more than the older ones, but not much, newer apa tanks dont have a thread in relief valve, which restricts the potential of the tank later on, so use an older tank with the thread in relief valve, commonly called "4 valve tank" the manchester tanks I've seen are the same valve setup as the apa.

go new style vapour injection!
efi but with lpg ;)
you will need two tanks though (they use a pump inside the tank, so current ones only have nominal flow), and two lots of injectors, and two converters so will be pricey, but you get money back from the government :P
Definately the way of the future with lpg. enough of this carby bullshit!

you try it first and see how far you get.

Hey guys havnt posted 4 ages, just lettin all know i sold the bits and peices of my dream, resprayed the car put it back together with a secondhand motor and box sold it to some abbo's! Went to the bank and got a ba mk2 6spd turbo in grey with 48,000 ks on it! Much smarter in the end, the ef would have been a great toy but sucked soo much money and time
Vapour injection sux. We had a supercharged 6 in the shop and it would run brilliant on fuel, switch to gas and shit city! Took it back to the gas mob and they tried to tell us it was the TPS sensor even thought we had fitted a new one! they didnt want a bar of it! And they installed it! Great value for $4500!. :( Stick to BP ultimate, cant go wrong.
