4.0 into xw falcon

does anyone know whats involved in slotting a 4.0 and auto into an xw or is there a kit you can buy any help would be good thankyou.

yes mate i have done this conversion into XE's and XF's. There is no difference when going as far back as XW. There is no kit as such but i have done a couple of these for other people after mine was a big hit.

Use EA engine mounts onto the 6 cyl base plates.
Whatever year OHC 4.0 you use just run all the same accessories for that year (EF engine then get all the EF pumps/alternator/tensioner etc). Don't mix and match for your sanity's sake.

You can run a T5 manual (cable operated!) or spend a bit of coin on building a c4 with bellhousing from Dellow or Torque-Power.

Depending on what fuel you are intending to run you will have to figure all that out for your applicaiton. I use straight gas and an XF ignition-only ecu running on an EA centrepoint dizzy. There are other options though. But whatever you do don't bother modding an XE dizzy its not a good idea.
