Calder Park and Driftjunkie Productions are proud to announce a special one off Drift session at Calder Park Raceway on July 4 2007. The session will see Japanese D1 driver, Shinji Minowa, hit the track with DA drivers Luke Fink and Khudar Elhouli. This event will be the first opportunity for Minowa to pilot the ex-holfords S14 in which he will compete at Eastern Creek during Round 3 of the Drift Australia Championship Series on July 7-8.
Driftjunkie Productions will be using this opportunity to shoot footage for promotional material so bring your cameras as there is sure to be plenty of opportunities to get some awesome photos and video. Also present will be local Driftjunkie sponsored drivers Dario Strevic and Kenneth Zubieto.
For those that can’t make it out during the day Minowa and Fink will battle it out head to head during our evening drift practice session!
Day Session: Gates Open: 10:00 am, Drifting: Approx 10:00am to 3:00pm
Spectator Entry: FREE, Inside Parking: $10 per car
Drift Practice Session: Gates Open 5:00pm, Drifting 6:00pm - 10:00pm
Competitor Entry: $90,
Spectator Entry: $15
Drift Practice 27 June 2007 - MOVED to 4 July 2007
To coincide with the appearance of Japanese D1 Driver Shinji Minowa at Calder Park Raceway, the scheduled Drift Practice for 27 June 2007 has been moved to 4 July 2007.
The re-scheduling of the event will also allow those drivers competing at Winton on June 23 an extra week to prepare/repair their vehicles. Apologies for any inconvenience that may be experienced.
