The next drag day has been booked.....:D :D :D :D :D :D :D
Heathcote Raceway...

The flyer will be up very soon with more sponsors coming on board so we hope to make this one bigger then our last one which was a big day just under 70 cars racing so for now i will start the list......

Ps hope to have $5000 up for grabs on the day but will know more very soon.......

Also we may add a VL turbo Headsup class if we get some sponsors for it which i am talking to now........


Basic rules:

All drivers must be over 18 years of age, if not they must be acccompanied by a Parent or Guardian.

Minimum personal protective equipment required for competitors:
Drivers – long trousers, long sleeve shirt or jacket, enclosed shoes and an approved crash helmet;
Motorcycle riders – long pants, motorcycle approved jacket, gloves, boots and an approved crash helmet.

Grounds for disqualification:

Removing your helmet before you have left the racing surface and braking area.
Using a mobile phone while on the racing surface, braking area or return road.
Carrying a mobile phone in the vehicle to be raced is prohibited.
Failing to observe established speed limits within the venue. A speed limit of 30 kmh is to be observed on the return road and a limit of 40 kmh is to be observed in all other areas within the venue.

Please note:
Smoking is not permitted in the staging lanes or anywhere near the start line area.
Open shoes (eg. thongs and sandals) and sleeveless tops are not permitted on or near the start line area.

Heathcote Park Raceway has a strict
NO Glassware
NO Alcohol
NO Drugs
NO Animals, Policy
Food and refreshments including Alcohol available at the track.
The Pit area is a Dry area at all times.

the wheelstands from the blue cortina and drews torrie were insane.
the skyline of stanek was having major problems. didnt get a full power pass in.
heeps of real nice cars
the bloke in the little red torrie with the 202 loved a skid. very impressive.
first time to heathcote. was a great day and will be back.
and at $3 for a can of beer puts calder park to shame
when is the next one? will be there
by the way where was xerakis in the pro car?

BTW they must have known it was going to break down becaue it looks like they took enough pushers to push it back on the trailer.

The car had a problem with the converter and the converter is in TCE's hands to fix it, I dont know what happened to the converter that is why i said ask them !!

I seen this car at heathcote weekend gone and i see it is all bottled up now using NOS bigpsi,why is it still having converter problems along with the other jpc car which you claim also to be having converter issues aswell.

Sounded like he was using it the whole track it to it sounded like.

Well i have about 1800 hp and i have never had a convertor problem maybe this is a heat related problem as i don't run a cooler and would never put my car on a chassis dyno. maybe these car need smaller turbo's that spool up quicker as there is something going wrong. Everytime im at the races i wonder if people think that sitting on the start line then leaving with a reaction time off 5 + seconds is good for the car.
It proably only take a few seconds to cook the oil in the converter when spooling a turbo up.
Just my thoughts hopeful this might help you guy not have problems.

Dwayne Gerdes from TCE told me no one else is having these problems with breaking converters, so what the problem is who knows but we hope to get on top of it soon

I think the problem is you are over tyred.

511 ci KB at the time had 2500 hp, through a lenco and all else went mid 6's.

now your asking a turbo v6 to do the same job. Bigger isnt always better.

Dead hooking hurts parts and does wonders for your boost curve. I have data the shows it from sydney
