I did a 1.52 on 235 m/t street radials, hopefully will get down to 1.4's

Yeh thats damn quick mate, have you tried/compared slicks?
I cant see the need for them myself as i'm not using a transbrake.

Ive only ever made 2 pases on a street radial in this car, but my first pass was a 1.28-1.29 in the 60' (compared to a 1.31 with a slick the pass prior), and the next run blew the tyres off (but track temp was off the planet 140*f+)

The fastest car on the planet on street radial (315/60/15 Mickey Thompsons) is a nitrous car in the US and runs in the low 1.1"s all the time... He has gone 1.12 which is the fastest ever and its an early model stock suspension camaro.

They just have a very narrow sweet spot and dead-hook not like a slick, they will either hook hard or spin ...

But, if you can get them to work, your car will run faster than it will on slicks!!!
