Fast Futura

Hi, I thought that some one might be interested in what I have done to my car. I have a 6cyl 2004 BA Futura with the Ford body kit, 17" xr mags, lowered, tints darkest legal, John bowe exhaust system and throttle body, and now a Vortech V2 supercharger at 8psi :D
I've just had the car tuned today after running in the supercharger, its going hard :) 210rwkw with a safe tune and without an intercooler, there is more potential there, I just want to harden the motor first. The motor has stock internalls at the moment so I don't want to add any more power just yet, but I plan to eventually.
The work was done by KPM Motorsport in Adelaide and I am very happy with their work.

If anyone has any questons about the car I am happy to answer them.

very nice, did you run the car down the drag strip yet?

Thanks, not yet, I dont think that the adelaide international raceway is open. I am thinking of going for a drive interstate.
Good excuse to go for a drive :)

with no intercooler, does it run some form of water injection instead?

No water injection, I didn't get the intercooler mainly because of the extra cost of the unit. The car is running well, probably because of the excellent custom tune but I will need an intercooler to get more out of the setup.
Very nice, how much does that kind of set up cost? Cheers

I had the kit ordered through CAPPA, the kit alone cost around $5000, then with the dyno time, new fuel pump, plugs, injectors, xr6 map sensor, custom intake pipe, oils and coolants it ends up around $10,000. An expensive upgrade but a lot of fun:) I just hope that the car holds up to the punishment.

You may want to check but i am under the belief that the NA motor is internally identical to the turbo version.(that is the xr6 not the fpv6)so going for some more power safely shouldnt be a problem if that is the case.As someone has said here abouts i wouldnt recoment going past about 300kw ATW without striping it down, but there should be no need to go down the expensive path of a rebuild unless your REALY want to get sereous. HTH
By the way your ride is very tidy and the charger looks the part in there. Looking forward to seeing how you come along.

Considering you are not running an intercooler, the internals are standard? and it is a bolt-on kit, I'm interested to know how much boost you are able to safely run?
