tx3 exhaust

for a non turbo 1.8 dohc tx3 laser would a 2.25" exhaust system slow down exhaust gas flow therefore robbing engine power? would a 2" system be a better choice?:confused:

my missus NA TX3 has a single 2 1/2" setup untill just befor the rear muffler should be then it splits to twin 2 1/2". sounds awsome and looks sweet
