hi, i dunno where i can find the information i need,
i currently have a 1997 honda civic vti 4 door sedan, its got a standard non vtec motor,
im interested in dropping a vtec motor

i want to know if anyone knows which motor would fit and whcih motor from which honda would fit

any comments appreciated thanks alot

hi why dont you try castlemaine rod shop they know their stuff when it comes to conversions

WWW.OZ HONDA.COM its a wealth of knowledge for honda fans.

your looking at about $7-10 k for the swap, in and out, certifyed and engineered.

as for which motors will fit, the best swap to do is a b18c (integra) but a h22a (prelude) will also fit but it weighs much more and you have to take that into consideration.

basicaly your looking at this to change:

engine (rebuilt if imported, add $2-5k)
ecu
drive shafts
stub axles to five stud
wiring loom
radiatior
relocation of engine mounts
rear brakes from drum to disk.

this is just a brief idea of what needs to be changed.
