Had a great time at the bogan nats,:) Some nice cars put on a good display.
how sik was the blown hk monaro?
Would have been good to see a few more rota's there.
Where abouts was it (which part of Adelaide) ?

yeah i know that bit, but being in Vic and not having been to AIR i was wondering where abouts it is, i got family in Victor harbor so was considering making the trip for the next one

My highlight was Gary Myers giving that Mazda 929 Burnout acar thrashing and killed it could not have been more spectacular Go Gary

I was enterd into the gazanats, white over silver VK calais, convos on the front, got into the top 30 finals for the burnout comp, not to sure where i placed though, will deffinatly be goin next year though

I agree with you on that one there, in the drivers meeting before the burnouts, im pretty sure the AIR offical said to us, if you hit the wall or cones its a instant disqualifcation, as ive said on another fourm

Yep it was deffinatlly a good skid, but rules are rules
so were u told in the drivers briefing that if you hit the hats ur disquilified

I thought it was a great show.
Fellas...da gazzanats were killa..never been so out of place with so many flanies and rippled shoes..:D :D
seen most of the lads there which was great.I think all the big boys cars were sik oh and that monaro..:) on the friday night the thing was apart and the boys worked most of the night to put it together well done
datto boy yeah the cressy was killa with the 1jz..was told he started the power skid in 5th yes fifth and just sidestepped it...:eek:
A big well done to all the lads that took part in the Zero to Hero burnout 929 it has come a long way and has now completed the full circle of the project..

Just a little correction the Cressida runs a 2JZ and it is a nutty car, winner 6cyc burnout, 3rd super skid

yer whats the go.rules are rules i no there made to be broken but that comp was for $4000 even thow it was a boganfest myers should have stayed to the rules.your given so much room you have to stay in if you go out of this instant disqualifcation.myers no's the rules but i heard there all freinds so i gess thay just turned a blind eye.some of there mates got two quilifing runs. i also heard that the the terverna xd didnt quilify but it was there in the finals.....anuther mate of theres. :eek:
and the rules said your car is not to leave air or your out of the comp but the orange gemmy left to fit a motor come back no prob got third...hes a mate of theres to. i wonder if your not a mate you can do this stuff to and get away with it .sorry to rain on your parade but rules are rules

p.s. i thort this needed to be said as the bogan nats problem seens to be more important than the questions about the broken rule.please inlighten us garry on why the rules are not upheld at your show .as i wont be entering next year.im not your mate so im not going to waste my time and money its to hard to come buy.......

Another rule that the officals said, was that there was to be no speeding or burnouts or anything anywhere else but on the burnout pad,
But when infact the Yellow traverna XD falcon was constantly goin out and testing his car (i think he was tunning it).
also about leaving the track, im pretty sure that was also another rule that was stated on the entry/recpit form.that no car is to leave AIR

acually the taverna xd did qualify i seen it in group 1 of the burnouts during the day
Yeah he qualified 31st when there was only supossed to be 30 finalists.

usually the track staff / air staff will say dont hit the cones etc etc
did anyone NOT get through after hitting cones ?? I dont think so
a mate of mine got through to the finals after cleaning up a few cones but lunched his motor and trans in the process . DOH !

well he was heard going off that he hadn't made it and he was going up to see them to sort it out ,so you must have seen the new list after he was put back in
and gurver so if them cones were oficials he still would have won i dont think so

bogan-nats is just for promoting there name ,making money,sucking up to there mates ,and getting more sponsors

so deby how could you put your mate in the top 30 when he qualified no 31st & also how could he finish 4th when everybody knows he didnt finish in the top 10 in the finals maybe i could get a job as a judge

I understand a forum is used for chatting about all sorts of things from the common concensus to the slightly controversial, but it seems a few peeps are a little pissed about the out comes of the Gazanats.
Before you post, please make sure you have contacted the people involved in the issue direct. Im sure wires get crossed and issues seem bigger then they should without all the correct information.
At the end of the day who really cares who won what, it sounds like yeryeryer has the biggest axe to grind, in future look at the whole picture before openly slandering people.

Actually Taverna place in the top 3 in the Qualifing Rounds. There was a stuff up with his number when put on the board.

Hitting the witches hats did not disqualify you. If you went past the witches hats onto the drag strip, Yes....The winner lost points for hitting them, but still was out right winner, as far as the car that left AIR for a engine change, it was taken by trailor from the track and returned on the trailor to the track, same car / same entrant number / same driver.
No one got 2 qaulifing runs, there were cars that PAID for Two Entrys, Two drivers.
You are not raining on any ones parade. This Event isnt about US it is all about a great show for the Entrants.
We pay huge dollars to get all the Demonstration Guys & Girls from all over Australia to come, we pay the biggest prize pool in OZ. We work our **** off not to get a name out there.
And as far as you not entering next year, well the truth be known, you probably didnt enter this year either.
You will find at any major show, that the promoter has the last say in any thing to do with there EVENT.
The burnout judges at OUR show, are the best in OZ, that lead the burnout judges team at Summernats. They had in NO way any ties or friendships with any of the Entrants at GazzaNationals.
As far as Gary Myers not knowing how to turn on a computer. You need to spend more time away from the computer & get a real job, instead of picking the crap out of some thing that is ALL GOOD.
Gazzanationals will be bigger & better in 2007

i went there in the blown sigma ( sir gk ) had a few troubles with the engine set up have rebuilt the engine since then and it goes hard cant wait for next year :cool:

Yerp 105 that was me, yer i done pretty good considering it was my 1st burnout comp to enter and im just running a pretty basic combo:D
