Congrats to Joe Gauci from Pro Fab Engineering who ran 8.89 at 153mph last night in his Cortina.
For those who don't know the car, it's powered by a turbocharged de-stroked x-flow six!

Well done nice time.. Put it back to standard stroke and what would it do lol. One of these with a BA 6 should hook up then. Keep up the good work.

Knowing all to well thats your regarded as the 'original' turbo Corty guy, do you care to assist me, it setting up my corty so i can get my power down, cant seem to get it to hook-up. Uno help out a fellow turbo corty guy, to put an end the the VL TURBO domanance that plagues Melb drag strips. And give the BLUE team a good platform to launch a powerfull counterattack???
If you get this can you PM me, with any assistance.

I love how it carries the front wheels for ages.
Joe, I noticed on the 2nd run on the video that you backed off after it carried the wheels well past the 60ft mark, did it start going towards the wall? or did you get off cause you weren't sure when it was gonna come back down?
Cause I tell ya, it looked like it was about to carry them for good fair while further! Absolutely awesome work. And this is a 200 cuber people, not a 250!
Can you get a VL to launch like that Joe??
:D :D

The car was dead straight when it was up in the air, it actually caught me by surprise, i Just lost sight of the race track, the car kept climbing and at that time it had some speed up. Next time i will be more prepared for that.
As for getting a VL to leave like that, Yes it is possible just need a bit more track time with enzos, want him to be comfortable with the car first.
Maybe we should surprise him!!!:)
Are they in NSW or Vic?
Can't seem to find a website
Wollongong an hr or so south of sydney
Congratulations to all involved. That's very impressive for an old Crossy! Awesome wheel stand too :D
